Some snowy scenics I shot recently in downtown Rochester. Blue skyline along the Genesee River, birds near the Freddy-Sue Bridge and the sun sets over the Strong Museum.
One week each year Catholic schools all over the country celebrate Catholic Schools Week, a time for special events that highlight school pride. I visited three Rochester-area schools to get a feel for how each marked the occasion. photos copyright Catholic Courier
Ice climbing at Angel Falls, a 120-foot waterfall in the Hi-Tor Wildlife Management area near Naples, N.Y. Lead climbers carry high-strength steel screws which they place as they climb for protection while their climbing partner belays from below.
