I don’t shoot sports very often anymore, but I still really enjoy it. I covered the Nazareth girls team winning their ninth Section 5 title in 12 years last Friday for the Catholic Courier. The win had added siginificance because the Nazareth sports program will be dissolved when they consolidate with Aquinas Institute next school year. photos copyright Catholic Courier

Parishioners of St. Bridget’s, a small, mostly African-American church in the city, held their final Mass on Mark Street. The parish community will still exist as they gather each Sunday inside Rochester’s Immaculate Conception Church, but it was still hard to say goodbye to a building that has been their home for many years. photos copyright Catholic Courier

Last Mass on Mark Street

About a foot and a half of snow fell in Rochester Feb. 25-26. Whenever there’s a big snowfall I like to head to Highland Park to get some scenic pics and see what people are doing on their snow day.
