I would like to do a coffee table book on coffee houses. Always nice light and interesting people wandering about. I took these at Equal=Grounds, a warm, inviting place in the South Wedge.

I took this photo in a Pre-K classroom at St. Michael School in Penn Yan. The nice thing about photographing children is that they’re so busy learning and trying new things that they forget there’s a camera two feet in front of them. photo copyright Catholic Courier

Popular Peninsula, the camp band for Camp Stella Maris in Livonia, recently recorded their second album. They’re not trying to break into the music business for fame or money, they just like entertaining campers and hanging out. Proceeds from CD sales go to camp scholarships. I photographed them recording vocals at the camp directors home. photo copyright Catholic Courier

There’s nothing more rehearsed than an actual rehearsal so in addition to the more literal stage pics I try to get something different. I took this rehearsal photo at Geva Theatre when the actors turned their backs during a musical number. photo copyright Catholic Courier

I traveled to the Rochester Folk Art Guild’s pottery shop to photograph potters throwing bowls that will be used for Empty Bowls, an event that raises awareness of the effects of hunger and raises money to support local efforts to reduce hunger. I also shot some bowl-throwing video that can be viewed here. photos copyright Catholic Courier

Is there anything better than the final days of school? That feeling of being finished, with only the summer in front of you? These are some pics I took of students enjoying an end-of-the-year field day at St. Lawrence School in Greece. photos copyright Catholic Courier
